Mike joined the U.S. Army after high school serving four years and three months.
Mike enjoyed service with 3/75 Airborne Rangers at Ft. Benning, Ga. Upon discharge from active duty, Mike earned a B.B.A in accounting from Texas A&M-Commerce plus 10 hours of graduate school. Mike worked for a regional public accounting firm and in financial accounting in Dallas, Texas. |

Mike and Jennifer have three young sons, Joseph, Benjamin and Evan. The Downs Family are members of the Holiness Church of Jesus Christ in Whitesboro, Texas.
